Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the recruitment as well as retention, performance management and career development of Filipino SeaPersonnel. Ensure that training is contributing fully to the company goals through proper utilization of funds, strategic deploymentof human resource, effective execution of projects and activities and practical compliance to safety and standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Authority
• Plan, develop and lead implementation of training programs and policies for Filipino Sea Personnel and oversee overall training activities of the Training Department.
• Work with the Manning Manager in ensuring that Filipino seafarers are provided with proper attention, recognition, support and training through effective performance management and career
development undertakings.
• Carry out effective and economical recruitment and assist in assignment and rotation strategies for Deck SMT.
• Reserved Ship Master, who may be deployed as Master to SNPI managed vessels when necessary.
• Ensure peak performance and compliance to safety and quality standards of Training Department by staffing them with competent, professional and high performance employees.
Authority I - To act independently; Authority II - To act but inform the person to whom he/she reports and other interested parties; Authority III - To consult (direct manager) before acting
Qualifications
Education:
Marine or Nautical degree or any four-year course
Experience:
Ten years sea service experience and/ or training as an Officer or equivalent combination of education and experience as Ship Master
