Research Manager/Director (Quantitative or Qualitative)

Qualification:

• Assist Managing Director to set and achieve stretching budgets for sales and revenue.
• Actively explore business opportunities with new and existing clients.

4 slots available to be filled immediately.
• Assist in business development planning and execution
• Monitor overheads to ensure proper control on expenses.
• Oversee and manage projects to ensure these are done to the satisfaction of clients.
• Review project design and give professional advice to clients to ensure the most cost effective and appropriate methodology and techniques are used.
• Advice Research on methodology and analysis, to ensure Client is provided with strategic and actionable recommendations
• Review & negotiate costing to ensure competitiveness.
• Assist MD in reviewing and improving work systems for more efficient operations
• Improve and direct procedures in Research department to ensure consistent, accurate and efficient applications.
• Manage research teams and resolve staff problems to ensure smooth operations of the team.
• Improve and direct procedures in Support teams to improve efficiency of work flow and quality of output.
• Maintain close relationships with clients to enhance possibility of winning repeated business.
Internal:
• MD to discuss division performance and agree action on sales, staffing and other issues
• Supervisors/Managers of internal departments, including Fieldwork, Data Processing, etc to discuss and resolve problems.

External:
• Managers & Directors of clients for sales purposes, project briefing and debriefing, cost negotiations.
• University degree
• At least 9-10 years research experience
• Substantial & proven knowledge of research methodologies and techniques
• Conversant with industry & marketing issues
• Ideally, knowledgeable in a particular industry
• Knowledge of basic accounting/financial terms and procedures
• Knowledge and experience in preparing budgets
• Very good English essential
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to delegate
• Good time management skills
• Sales techniques
